Meet Mr. Guditus

Mr. Guditus is the proud principal of Eddy Elementary School. He began his tenure as the principal and "lead learner" on August 1, 2022. He believes that all students can learn, and need to feel safe and have a sense of belonging before they are available to learn. Therefore, he emphasizes social-emotional learning for all, restorative practices while reflecting upon mistakes, and embedding core values into all that we do and say every day. Our academic instruction must be rigorous, and all students are held to high standards.

Mr. Guditus has been a Massachusetts public school educator for 22 years. He began his career in education as a middle school social studies teacher at Blake Middle School in Medfield, MA, became the assistant principal of Stony Brook Middle School in Westford, MA, principal at Manchester-Essex Regional Middle School in Manchester, MA, and was the director of technology for the Tri-Town School Union on the north shore of Boston. After spending 20 living and working in and around Boston, Mr. Guditus relocated to Cape Cod with his husband and family to become part of the Eddy Elementary School and Nauset communities, and is happily a washashore!

Mr. Guditus earned his BA at Hamilton College in upstate New York, M.Ed from Harvard Graduate School of Education in Teaching and Learning, M.Ed from Endicott College in Organizational Management and Leadership, and grew up in Saratoga Springs, New York.
