Wellfleet Elementary School (WES) faculty and staff continue to implement the current School Improvement Plan developed by the Wellfleet School Council.  The WES Improvement Plan aligns with the Nauset Strategic Plan embedding deep learning pedagogies into five innovative Goals.  Our goals and priorities are inspired by a changing educational landscape.  WES is dedicated to teaching and practicing 21st century skills, developing students’ cognitive, interpersonal, and intrapersonal competencies fundamental to global citizenship, and supporting all students’ social-emotional learning.

The mission of Wellfleet Elementary School is to ensure that each child develops skills, knowledge and respect for themselves and others. These are the foundation for life-long learning, responsible citizenship, and the realization of their potential. 

We will accomplish this by providing a rigorous curriculum, outstanding teaching, and family and community involvement.
