Eddy Elementary

With the full student body in attendance, Principal Guditus told a gentle narrative along with a slideshow presentation about the events of September 11, 2021. The focus was on the bravery of those who helped save so many lives and also those who made the ultimate sacrifice. He read the true story, "Fireboat: The Heroic Adventures of John J. Harvey" and quoted Mr. Rogers, who had said what his mother had told him: in times of trouble, always look for the helpers. On hand were important helpers from the Brewster Fire Department and the Brewster Police Department, including Chief Moran and Chief Eldredge, respectively. Assistant Superintendent Kristen Anderson was also in attendance and was clearly impressed with the student's attention and the presenter's thoughtful demeanor.
